You should carefully review this Cookie Notice, as well as the Terms of Use and all other Policies specified in the Terms of Use before proceeding.
1. DO WE USE COOKIES AND, IF SO, WHY?
Yes. However, we do not use cookies on the following page: (i) the Voice Request Access page at https://voice.com/get-started/.
Cookies are useful because they allow us to recognise your device, tailor content to meet your interests, and learn how you use Voice. We use cookies (including HTTP, HTML5 and Flash cookies) and similar technologies (such as web beacons and JavaScript) to: (i) customize and improve your experience of Voice (ii) deliver content tailored to your interests and the manner in which you browse Voice; and (iii) manage Voice and other aspects of our business.
2. WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES ARE USED AND WHAT CHOICES DO YOU HAVE?
Below is a list of the types of cookies that we would like to use on Voice.
By visiting Voice you agree that, unless you have set your device’s browser to reject them, we can place the types of cookies set out in the table below on your device, and use that data in accordance with this notice and the Privacy Notice.
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are necessary for Voice to work, and enable you to move around Voice and use the services and features. Disabling these cookies will encumber performance and may make these services and features unavailable. Strictly Necessary Cookies are used to collect session ID and authentication data. They are “session” cookies, which expire when you close your session.
Functional Cookies
Functional Cookies allow Voice to help maintain your session and remember the choices you made in order to provide functionality for your benefit.
Functional Cookies are used to collect information about your language preferences and other preferences indicated during your visit.
For example, functional “session” cookies allow Voice to remember settings specific to you which ultimately improves your web experience.
Functional Cookies also include persistent cookies which are used to remember your preferences when you subsequently visit.
Analytic Cookies
Analytic Cookies are used to gather statistics about the use of Voice in order to improve the performance and design of our services. For these purposes, Analytic Cookies collect information about your device type, operating system type, browser type, domain, other system settings, IP address, referring URLs, information on actions taken on Voice and the dates and times of your visits, as well as the country and time zone in which your device is located.
These cookies are provided by our third-party analytics tool provider (Google Analytics) and the information obtained through these cookies will be disclosed to, or collected directly by, this third-party service provider. For more information about Google Analytics’ cookie and information practices (including the types of cookies used and their expiration date), please review their site.
Third Party Cookies
We partner with third parties to provide you with connections to certain social networks (such as Twitter, Vimeo, and YouTube) and to provide you with additional features. By using Voice or engaging with third-party plugins and widgets, such third parties may place “session” or “persistent” cookies, or similar technologies, on your browser. These technologies may provide the third parties information about your visit so that they can present you with advertisements for services which may be of interest to you. The use of these cookies is subject to the third party’s own cookie notices.
3. COOKIES WE USE
Below is a list of the specific cookies we would like to use Voice and the choices that you have.
Cookie Name | Description and Purpose |
---|---|
id | This is a Voice session cookie set when a registered user signs into Voice. |
csid | This is a Voice session cookie set when a registered user signs into Voice. |
_hjClosedSurveyInvites | Hotjar cookie. This cookie is set once a visitor interacts with a Survey invitation modal popup. It is used to ensure that the same invite does not re-appear if it has already been shown. |
_hjDonePolls | Hotjar cookie. This cookie is set once a visitor completes a poll using the Feedback Poll widget. It is used to ensure that the same poll does not re-appear if it has already been filled in. |
_hjMinimizedPolls | Hotjar cookie. This cookie is set once a visitor minimizes a Feedback Poll widget. It is used to ensure that the widget stays minimized when the visitor navigates through your site. |
_hjDoneTestersWidgets | Hotjar cookie. This cookie is set once a visitor submits their information in the Recruit User Testers widget. It is used to ensure that the same form does not re-appear if it has already been filled in. |
_hjIncludedInSample | Hotjar cookie. This session cookie is set to let Hotjar know whether that visitor is included in the sample which is used to generate funnels. |
_hjShownFeedbackMessage | This cookie is set when a visitor minimizes or completes Incoming Feedback. This is done so that the Incoming Feedback will load as minimized immediately if they navigate to another page where it is set to show. |
_hjid | Hotjar cookie. This cookie is set when the customer first lands on a page with the Hotjar script. It is used to persist the Hotjar User ID, unique to that site on the browser. This ensures that behavior in subsequent visits to the same site will be attributed to the same user ID. |
_hjRecordingLastActivity | This should be found in sessionStorage (as opposed to cookies). This gets updated when a visitor recording starts and when data is sent through the WebSocket (the visitor performs an action that Hotjar records). |
hjTLDTest | When the Hotjar script executes we try to determine the most generic cookie path we should use, instead of the page hostname. This is done so that cookies can be shared across subdomains (where applicable). To determine this, we try to store the _hjTLDTest cookie for different URL substring alternatives until it fails. After this check, the cookie is removed. |
_hjUserAttributesHash | User Attributes sent through the Hotjar Identify API are cached for the duration of the session in order to know when an attribute has changed and needs to be updated. |
_hjCachedUserAttributes | This cookie stores User Attributes which are sent through the Hotjar Identify API, whenever the user is not in the sample. These attributes will only be saved if the user interacts with a Hotjar Feedback tool. |
_ga | Google Analytics. We use this cookie to collect information about how users use Voice. We use the information collected to identify ways to improve Voice. |
_gid | Google Analytics. We use this cookie to collect information about how users use Voice. We use the information collected to identify ways to improve Voice. |
